Unofficial, and somewhat incomplete results, show Democrats taking control of the Assembly with a 52-46-1 majority. Democrats defeated Republican Incumbents Frank Lasee in the 2nd District, J. A. Hines in the 42nd District, Terry Moulton in the 68th District. Democrats picked up open Republican seats in the 57th District and 92nd District, vacated by Steve Wieckert and Terry Musser. Jeff Wood won election to the Assembly as an Independent, after serving previously as a Republican. |
